Tutu Cute

Friday, November 18th, 2005

My 4-year old daughter had her first ballet recital this week. I was a proud daddy! As promised, here are some pictures of the event.

The performance was a simplified version of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas (I still don’t feel like it’s the month before Christmas, I better go shopping.) Ashton was one of the sugar plumb fairys.

Mom and Jim were part of the festivities.

Two more cute pictures below for your edification! Enjoy.

Fall Family News

Friday, November 11th, 2005

As much as you try to deny, or at least fail to notice, time marches on. In addition, growth happens right before our eyes. Behold, our family’s first lost tooth compliments of Wyatt.

Secondly, Ashton is loving her ballet lessons…a girl all the way! Stay tuned for pictures from her first recital which happens on November 15th.

Finally, there is no stopping Parker now that he is crawling on two hands and two knees (previously is was more of an army crawl as he drug his legs behind him).

P.S. How could I keep this cute picture to myself?

Meno, OK

Saturday, November 5th, 2005

I thank God for opportunities to do things I have never done before. One such opportunity happened recently.

Some of you may know that I am a worship leader who is praying that I will be able to apply that gift in full time music ministry some day. Because of that, I have posted my music ministry resume online for churches who may be looking to fill that role.

The recent call of inquiry came from Pastor Cody Anderson from Faith Fellowship in Meno, Oklahoma.

Where, you may ask is Meno, OK? Good question! The answer is that it is the rural equivalent of a suburb of Enid, OK.

Where, you may ask, is Enid, OK? Good question! The answer is that it is about 90 miles north west of Oklahoma City. (If you don’t know where OK City is, check a map!)

Kara, the kids and I followed the call shortly thereafter with a visit to Meno to see what God is doing there. The answer to that question is: suprisingly a lot! The church there is alive and doing some wonderful ministry. Including a Rodeo Outreach. Very cool.

To make a long post even longer, through a lot of prayer and some fasting, we decided that we were not the right fit for the position in Meno. We are so thankful for the opportunity to visit and explore. Maybe our paths will cross again in the future…only God knows that answer!
